Kym has been working in credit unions for 12 years, first at Desert Schools Federal Credit Union in Phoenix, AZ and currently at OnPoint Community Credit Union.  She drives for digital solutions to enhance member experience, identifying methods of increasing value both for members and the organization. She has also developed an extensive network of professionals that share a passion for innovation and commitment to helping people.

Over the past 8 years, Kym has become increasingly involved in the credit union community. She served on the CU for Kids Auction Committee for 4 years and is currently a member of the CU for Kids Advisory Committee. Kym was a member of YCUP before joining the board for 1 year, later transitioning into the President role in 2017.  She also has experience volunteering for the Oregon Humane Society, Cascade AIDS Project, Schoolhouse Supplies, and has organized an annual bingo and raffle event for OnPoint’s AIDS Walk team since 2013. Her and the YCUP board began Hops for Hope, an annual beer and cider auction benefiting CU for Kids for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, raising $5,000 in 2017. Kym has a goal of surpassing $10,000 in 2018.

Kym graduated from Seattle University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. In 2018, she earned her Project Management Professional certification.

When she’s not serving credit unions, you’ll likely find her travelling the world. Kym takes one international vacation each year and some of her favorites have been Ireland, Belgium, Costa Rica, and Iceland. She’s also known for her vast shoe collection featuring neon to metallic and everything in between!
